The best way to learn history is to experience history, and This Is The Place Heritage Park is the best place for youth to have that experience. From handcart day treks to pioneer manners, church or civic youth groups actually participate in pioneer life.
Appreciating the past
Young people come away from their Park experience with a greater appreciation for the struggles and triumphs of the pioneers who built Utah and the intermountain West. They also learn cooperation and teamwork as they briefly replicate the experience of those pioneers.
