THIRD GRADE
Come join us for a Native American experience, a field trip at This Is The Place that will enhance your social studies curriculum.
Our program consists of a visit to our Native American Tepee and Hogan where the children will grind corn the "old fashioned way."
Next they will discover how Native Americans tanned animal skins, what they used them for, and learn about and be able to recognize different native Utah animal furs.
Have you ever wondered how the Native Americans tracked animals? You will have the opportunity to discover how to identify animal tracks. Then you will become the tracker and match actual tracks to individual animals.
Lastly, you may see how a Native Tepee was erected or experience our petting corral.
